27The next
thing he saw was smoke from
behind the house.
A.rose B.rising C. to rise D.risen
island, to the mainland by
a bridge, is easy to go to.
A. joining B. to join C. joined D. having joined

about the argument.
A. says B. said C. to say D. saying

A. to be
updated B. to have been
updated C. to update D. to have updated
答案A
for引出的逻辑主语the figures与update存在着被动关系,故选A。

Holidaymakers who are bored with baking beaches and overheated hotel rooms head for a big igloo. Swedish businessman Nile Bergqvist is delighted with his new hotel, the world?s first igloo hotel. The walls that were once ugly with graffiti (涂鸦) are now covered with beautiful pictures of historical heroes and modern art, thanks to the Mural Arts Program (MAP). Some one?time graffiti writers even help paint MAP murals.
The MAP's work, says Golden, is all about developing a sense of community (社区). When a neighborhood requests a mural, the MAP works with the people there to develop a message. Some messages have been ?Safe Streets?, ?Love and Care?, and ?Peace Walk?.

1. A。 Holidaymakers who are bored with baking beaches and overheated hotel rooms head for a big igloo.
In two weeks? time Bergqvist?s ice creation will be nothing more than a pool of water 是对 soon the fun will be over 的诠释。
After their stay, all visitors receive a survival certificate recording their success.(所有的来访者在离开之前都可得到一张记载他们在此生存成功的证书)。
