注意：这里的Tom‘s 并不等于Tom has ，在这里用所有格来强调这件事情的动作施出者是Tom ,而不是其他人。Tom's being admitted into a university 所表达的意思是: Tom被大学录取这件事，注意这里的 being admitted 相当于我们平常所使用的V.-ing，只不过这里是动词短语，来看看：V.原本只是一个动词，但是一旦变成了现在分词的形式，我们则称它为动名词，动名词，顾名思义，就是带有名词属性兼有动词属性的一类词。所以，刚才所说的所有格式完全成立的。又因为Tom是被录取的，所以用被动语态。

其实是相当于一个动词词组 be admitted 变为现在分词形式——being admitted.所以，后面的made并不影响being 的使用，至于made 的选用，关乎笔者想要用英语语法知识来表达自己所要表达的意思的需要，所以用一般过去时（整个句子的谓语的时态。）。

区分逻辑主语：

找准句子的主干（主谓宾），有时候有多个主语，有时候主语的形态又千奇百怪，不能一概而论，但是只要抓住了谓语，追索谓语这一动作的施出者，即为主语（逻辑主语）。

区分主语谓语宾语宾语补主语的好方法：

多做句子结构分析，不是叫你专门找这类题来做，而是在学习生活当中多留心英语，遇到不懂的句子，就要停下来，思考一下，这个句子有什么与众不同的地方？随心而行，慢慢的，你的语感就上来了。根据不同的句子成分的不同功能来区分其应当充当的角色。

eg.

I love you.这个句子里面的动词只有一个，love，所以很容易判断它就是谓语动词，那接下来就好办了。"爱“这一动作的施出者是谁？在英语当中，绝大多数情况下，谓语的承前名词为主语，反过来判断，动作的施出者是I。动作的承受者自然就是you。

再来一个较复杂的句子。

Tom paints the wall blue.

谓语动词毫无疑问是paints,动作的施出者正正是Tom,同时句子中用的是paints,即paint 的第三人称单数，同时也验证了，动作的施出者（主语）是Tom。动作的承受者显然是the wall，即为宾语。那么，blue 充当什么角色呢？再来看看原句所要表达的意思是Tom 把墙漆成了蓝色。好，在再这里，显然，如果去掉blue ，句子Tom paints the wall.依然成立，由此可看出，blue 仅补充说明paint这一动作的结果或者执行状态，而其所作用的对象与谓语同样是"墙（宾语）"，所以称为

宾语补足语。同样的，依此类推，对象是主语，则称为主语补足语。

明白了吗？

下面再回头看看第二题：

句子的后半部分：the boss allows the employees to have a coffee break

谓语动词是allows，根据谓语的形式——第三人称单数，可以铁定the boss 就是主语，从予语义上也可看得出动作的施出者是the boss..。动作的承受者就是the employees.

到最后，剩下的部分是to have a coffee break。

根据上面的分析可知，其实原本the boss allows the employees 主谓宾都齐全了，但是，千万要注意，后面继续补充说明老板允许员工，做些什么呢？后面就是 补充的内容了。哦，去喝一下咖啡休息一下。

分析如下：

1)wash, clean, cook, iron, look, cut, sell, read, wear, feel, draw, write, sell, drive…

I was to blame for the accident.

Much work remains.

3) 在need, require, want, worth (形容词), deserve后的动名词必须用主动形式。
